I am compelled to make art.    The visual world fascinates me in many ways, but in particular I enjoy the process of composition, making design decisions and getting it all to work together as a whole.  I am inspired by things that are visually intriguing and usually find them in nature, often in the small details or viewed in a different way.  The act of applying paint to canvas or wood panel is also an important inspiration.  The goal of my work is to create something inspiring both artistically and emotionally. 

Currently my work is focused on dogs, seascapes and landscapes with occasional journeys into the abstract and experimentation with mixed media.   I enjoy painting all kinds of dogs and see each one as an unique and special personality.   I hope you enjoy the Gallery and find something that is compelling to you!
